Peter John "Ollie" Halsall

Peter John "Ollie" Halsall (1949-1992) was an English guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter known for his work in progressive rock and jazz fusion. He gained prominence as a member of the band Patto, which formed in 1970 and became known for its eclectic sound blending rock, jazz, and blues elements. Halsall's virtuosic guitar playing and innovative style were showcased in notable Patto albums, including "Patto" (1970) and "Roll 'Em, Patto" (1971). Beyond Patto, Halsall collaborated with various artists, most notably as a member of the band Boxer and later with the progressive rock supergroup, The Last Shadow Puppets. His contributions extended to working with notable musicians like Kevin Ayers and the band Spooky Tooth.
